WATCHES & WONDERS EXHIBITION

MONTBLANC

Hong Kong: Montblanc participated in the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) first invitation only Watch Fair outside Europe in September 2013.

Montblanc – Sharing the Passion of Fine Watch Making

To support the exhibitions objective to share the passion for fine watch making with customers, collectors and connoisseurs, RSP conceptualised an industry first performance piece. The 9 minute performance built on one of RSP’s previous product launch shows focussed on the creativity, love and art present in Montblanc’s Nicolas Rieussec, inventor of the timewriter legacy. Ultimately it is a thoroughly engaging homage to the craftsmen who have enriched the art of Swiss watching and a showcase of the process of Montblancs handcrafted products.

Interaction between the Craftsmen, The Performer and the Guests

The heart of the booth featured a glass performance stage where the story was projected. This innovative interactive video presentation featured both of Montblancs master watch makers at work guiding the real-life performer Regis Truchy to produce a Tourbillion. The finale includes the watchmaker stepping onto the stage to be presented with a real watch by Regis. It is a great example of how RSP is able to translate brand values into very real brand experience for customers. The show, originally scheduled to be performed every hour of the show was so popular with guests the schedule moved to half hourly. Classic RSP attention to detail meant the cello music selected for the piece beat in the same time as the Tourbillion.
